The KZ Hair salons in Kilmarnock, Ayr, Irvine, Prestwick and Glasgow, make up one of the West of Scotland's most exciting, modern and innovative hair and beauty chains.

Kerr Duff and Zoé Carroll, co-owners of KZ Hair, first approached AME Marketing with the remit of producing a marketing strategy for their newly introduced hair care product range, entitled 'KZ Hair Care'.

As part of the marketing plan that was then created, AME Marketing recommended that the company should undergo a brand repositioning exercise. To be successful, the finished corporate identity would have to effectively communicate to potential customers that KZ Hair was a thriving and successful chain and the only logical place to go for the most innovative hair and beauty treatments.

With this brief in mind, AME Marketing worked alongside the design team at The McAlpine Partnership to produce a new brand image which could achieve this as memorably as possible. Three design options were presented to KZ Hair, one of which immediately stood out from the rest.
